You don’t need a photo studio. Stand about 1.5 m (5 ft) from the camera in front of a plain wall, in soft, even daylight. Look straight ahead with a neutral expression and both eyes open. Upload the photo above — SnapPass AI measures your head, replaces the background with white, and crops it to exactly 35 × 45 mm (1.38 × 1.77 in) at 300 dpi.
For online applications, download the digital version (413 × 531 px JPG). For paper applications, download the 4×6 in print sheet and order a standard print at any photo lab — it costs a fraction of a studio photo. Need photos for another country too? Select it as well and both fit on one sheet.
